About

[A–L / 03]

We took on the challenge of transforming Amistat City Hostel Barcelona into a single sensory experience, merging space design and technology to redefine the concept of hospitality in the city. From conceptualization to final implementation, we designed an ecosystem where lighting, sound and digital supports integrate to enhance the identity and character of the hostel.

The work runs through the whole building. A dynamic lighting scheme takes the facade, two circular LED screens hold the ground floor, one small at the entrance and a larger one carrying a digital art exhibition, and DMX lighting reaches the hall, the secondary terraces and the room corridors, with sound distributed across the common areas.

The facade is the first signal. A dynamic lighting scheme rewrites the presence of the building in the street every night, before anyone has walked through the door.

Two circular screens, a format that refuses the standard rectangle. A small one meets you at the entrance, a larger one holds a digital art exhibition and becomes the main piece of the ground floor.
